Two things matter: how much cash it earns and how much other players want it. Rarity sets the starting point, and mutations and traits can boost its income a lot. Trade value is set by the community, not by the game, so a brainrot that is limited, came from a past event or has a strong mutation can be worth more than its income alone suggests. Values shift after updates, so always check recent lists.

A mutation changes a brainrot's colors, such as Gold, Diamond or Rainbow, and multiplies its income. A brainrot can only have one mutation at a time. Traits are extra boosts, usually shown with a small icon above the brainrot, and they mostly come from events, weather or special in-game rituals rather than the conveyor belt. A brainrot with a strong mutation and a trait can earn far more than a plain copy.

Not always. A rebirth resets your cash and your brainrots, but in return you get a permanent income boost, access to new gear and a longer base lock. Each rebirth level has its own requirements, which you can see in the in-game rebirth menu. Many players wait until they're confident they can rebuild quickly, because the first stretch after a reset is when you earn the least.

Use your base lock whenever you step away and lock again as soon as the timer allows. Stay close to your base when your best brainrots are out, and avoid going AFK in busy public servers. Gear helps too: slaps knock thieves back so they drop what they grabbed, and traps placed near your most valuable brainrots slow raiders down. Stealing is part of the game, so no defense is perfect.

Use the game's built-in trade feature and check every slot on both sides before you confirm, including each brainrot's mutation and traits. Don't agree to deals where one person goes first outside the trade window, like letting someone steal your brainrot and promising to send something back. Ignore anyone who wants payment through another app or website. If an offer sounds too good to be true, it almost certainly is a scam.
